The convention center is a main public venue in Central Florida. It is currently the second largest convention center in the U.S., second only to Chicago's McCormick Place. The OCCC has 7 million square feet of space and 2.1 million square feet of exhibit space. This large center is situated on the southern end of International Drive, which is the biggest tourist destination in Orlando.
Every year the convention center hosts in excess of 230 events, with approximately 1,400,000 attendees who contribute $2.4 billion to the local economy.
