Speakers

Daniel Park

Bio: Daniel Park’s speaking career began in graduate school, when he was tasked with creating an EQ (emotional intelligence) training to teach to a small group. Not only did he enjoy creating the lesson and teaching it, he believed strongly in the topic. Daniel saw how emotional intelligence could not only benefit peoples’ personal lives, but also their professional lives. He began asking local organizations if they would be interested in having him walk their team through the training. This led to Daniel speaking across the state to various organizations and associations. In addition to teaching his emotional intelligence course, Daniel has also led onsite workshops with real estate firms and organizations around the country, and most recently was a keynote speaker at an international real estate conference. While he specializes in emotional intelligence, Daniel also speaks on the topics of leadership, communication, conflict, connection, personality, and emotional health/wellness.

Topic: Maintaining a Healthy Career
Join speaker Daniel Park as he explores important factors leading to enjoying long, healthy careers. You'll explore why it's necessary to understand what you value and create your own definition of success. Daniel will walk you through common barriers to healthy careers such as stress, anxiety, loneliness, and burnout. You will learn about the symptoms and dangers, while also discovering the solutions that can lead to a more meaningful and enjoyable work experience. You will leave this session with fascinating statistics and helpful insights into how you personally can maintain a healthy career.

Lisa Francisco, CPA

Bio: Lisa Francisco has been at Brentwood Baptist Church since 2002. In her role as Executive Director of Central Support, she is responsible for the communications, financial accounting, facility management, food services, human resources, information technology, insurance/risk management, and media production areas. She previously served 14 years at HCA Healthcare, two years in public accounting and three years working for a life insurance company. Lisa is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Tennessee Society of CPA’s, the CFO Leadership Counsel and The Church Network.

Topic: Maximizing Financial Health

We all want our ministries to thrive. But what happens when giving doesn't meet expectations? Or a pandemic or other natural disaster strikes? These can all throw ministry off course. This presentation will discuss ways to plan for and monitor the financial health of your church so that ministry can be maximized, even in challenging times

Darrell Roland

Bio: Darrell has nearly 30 years of senior leadership experience from 15 years in the marketplace leading to 24 years in ministry. He currently serves as Executive Pastor at Rock Bridge Community Church, which has been recognized by Outreach Magazine as one of the top 100 growing churches in America on three occasions. Rock Bridge has 6 sites throughout Northwest Georgia and the Tennessee Valley. Darrell's biggest earthly win is his wife, Sylvie of 37 years and 2 children who also serve in ministry at some level— Shaun as a Freelance AVL Production Leader and Tamra as College Director for Young Life at the University of Central Florida.

Topic: ReThink Team Care
In this session you will be challenged to think differently about how you are caring for your staff, teams and upward leadership.

Mike Long, CCA

Bio: In 2014, Mike experienced a crucible moment during a climb to summit the Grand Teton in Jackson, WY.  That crucible moment is only one segment of a journey that led him to answer God’s calling to transition from entrepreneurism to church administration and later to develop a ministry of stewardship and generosity.

Topic: The Gift of the Crucible
If you’ve experienced a crucible then you know too well the feelings of anxiety, dread, worry and burnout that it can surface.  The Gift of the Crucible reframes the moments of a crucible to find the pockets of joy.

Cody Witherspoon

Bio: Cody began his journey into IT nearly 13 years ago. Starting with MCA, a local Managed Services Provider, he worked his way up from an entry level PC technician to his current role as Security Specialist.
Cody finds fulfillment in finding creative ways to resolve his customer’s technology needs. Cyber Security can often be confusing and frustrating, his goal is to look for ways to demystify and provide clarity on the subject.

Topic: Cyber Security: The Part We Have to Play
What are the threats we face and who are the intended targets?  We will look at how the pandemic has shown a light on the cyber security deficiencies of organizations big and small, and what can be done to defend them.

Denise Craig, CCA

Bio: Denise Craig is the CEO of The Church Network.  Prior to serving in this role, she served as a church administrator, CFO, and Executive Pastor for nearly 20 years. Denise is a TCN past board president, and a Certified Church Administrator. She also serves on the ECFA Board of Reference and on the Editorial Advisory Panel for Church Executive Magazine.

Topic: Volunteer Ministry Maximized
One of the church’s greatest resources is the people who willingly volunteer their time and talents to help make ministry a reality. In this session, we’ll discuss volunteer management best practices, communication strategies, and how to conquer challenges that come our way.
