Topic: Church Administration – What I’ve Learned
When we think of the Church, we think about making Disciples of Christ.  But what happens if we don’t also think about the “business” aspects of the church? Will we remain healthy and viable?  This session will focus on key areas of church administration and best practices learned during the last 20 years.

Roger Peyton

Bio: Roger Peyton has over 30 years of experience in Risk Management. For the past two decades he has specialized in helping nonprofits and ministries navigate the perils and dangers confronting nonprofits and churches. Roger and his wife Lora have been involved in several church plants. So, they are experienced in both ministry risks and risk management assessment.

Topic: Maintaining the Mission while Mitigating the Risk
The core mission of each ministry is to help people and share the good news. While the good news is free, it is not risk free. Ministry outreach inevitably involves inherent risk. So, what do we do when your risk and mission conflict? In this session we will discuss this paradigm in three key areas: Church Security, Abuse Prevention and Cyber Risk. Our discussion will be interactive and create an open dialogue to discuss each of these areas to create strategies to cope with each.
